In this program we will have a full day to practice one of the world's best sports: Canyoning.
We will start the activity with a briefing about abseiling techniques and security systems. The first part of the day, will gone a do a Canyoning route with verticals that do not exceed 20m height, especially aimed at those who have not yet had a first experience in this activity. Throughout this canyon, the participants will always be monitored by the Aventour Azores guides, who, in addition to guiding the participants in the water line, will proceed with the assembly of the descent lines (abseiling).
The second part of the program, we will make an approach to the canyon with trekking of about 50 minutes, through a trail that takes us to a valley, which in the 17th century was a place of refuge for some inhabitants of the fajãs, when they were invaded by pirates. This story will be told by our guides...
The surrounding area is extremely beautiful with exuberant vegetation that brings us to a film set. The Canyoning route is technically easy, very close to the two mountains that surround the valley. This Canyoning is of crystalline water supplied by a waterspring that supplies the fajã where we will finish the program, next to the sea.
